This is a glass artists take on a Owl. The multicoloured pieces of glass within the Owl are called “millefiori” which is an Italian term meaning “a thousand flowers”. Silver leaf also features as part of the internal decoration. The bottom of the ornament has been polished where it was removed from the pontelo, (steel rod used by the glass blower) and a felt circle attached. Surreal in shape yet eye-catching and stylish, this piece would make a fabulous paperweight for any owl or bird lover.
